Bird perched on cemetery monument

The bird is most likely a Peregrine Falcon. The photo was taken in the St. Vincent de Paul Church cemetery near Simcoe Park in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The original church was built here in 1835, the first Catholic Church in the Niagara Peninsula, and made of timber and clapboard in Gothic Revival style. The present church was enlarged in 1961. The afternoon was bright and sunny, not a cloud in the sky, and the town was full of tourists, you could barely walk down the sidewalks on Queen St. without stepping on someone's toes.

Visit to the Big Planet

Recently I returned from my vacation. Yes, indeed, the rumours are true: I visited the International Space Station (cost me 1,999,999.00 Euros, but was worth it) and from there I flew (won't reveal at this time how) to the planet Jupiter. Below the cloud covering there is indeed a mighty ocean. As you can see from the photo the Big Red Spot is visible from below the clouds as well as from above. The light above is caused by a continous electrical storm. The waves on the surface of the water are huge tsunamis!

Beginning again

This blog is an extension of the blog I kept as "jpatersn" at the NORTH DOOR.
